Default Minor took the blame for a friend's shoplifting

Ok, here's the situation, i was at a farmer jack, when my friend wanted to steal one of those little kegs of heiniken, the really small ones. So he tried to put it in a back pack, and i told him it was a stupid idea. Anyways we got caught. They took us upstairs to management and called the police. After they showed up, I took the blame, mainly because I'm used to legal trouble and my friend was almost in tears before anything happened. They called my mom and said he's free to go. Today I got my court date. I'm charged with Retail Fraus 3rd Degree, 93 days in jail / up to 200 dollor fine. Now here's my cituation, I have gone to court for possetion of alchohal, and possetion of marijuana. Also I've had many police contacts not resulting in court. I have been on probation and finished. The biggest problem is that the judge i'm going to see is one from a previouse case that knows who I am. She didn't like me to much then, she's going to flip this time. What will probably happen? If you have any idea of the probable results or any suggestions please let me know. If this helps, I am 16 years-old and I live in Michigan. Thank you so much for any help!

You confessed, you have a heck of a record, and the judge may well decide that prior measures haven't had the requisite impact on your behavior. If I were the judge, I would probably be seriously considering a period of detention in the local juvenile facility. I don't know when you will be going to court, but if it's not until school starts I strongly suggest that you not skip any classes, hit the books hard, and give her cause to believe that time in juvie would interrupt your education. If you're slacking in school on top of everything else, she may just decide that a semester or two in juvie is just the thing to get you back on track....
