    Default School emancipation in Florida

hi, my names mallorie. please don't disregard me as just some angry teenager, i have put a lot of thought and research into this.and so i would appreciate it if you didn't just paste the florida emancipation statutes. i've read them. thank you ;D

but i do have a couple of questions:

    - i know that in michigan, you can be emancipated for school related type stuff.. is it possible to do that in florida?i am trying to get to a certain program at a certain school where my parents do not want me to attend. i do not beleive that i would be eligible to become emancipated, but i do think that this alternative would be best for me.

    - how long does it take for a person to become emancipated? does it take days, or monthes or what? this is important because i have a short period of time for which i need to get into this program.

Since you are familar with the statutes, did you see this part?

    1) A circuit court has jurisdiction to remove the disabilities of nonage of a minor age 16 or older residing in this state upon a petition filed by the minor's natural or legal guardian or, if there is none, by a guardian ad litem.

Would your parents be willing to do that?

I'm thinking that they won't, being they won't let you go into a certain program.

It most likely would take several months....
