Seeking Emancipation

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: what do i have to do to get emancipated i get abused at home and im 17 and i have bipolar and i get a disabilty check but i know how to control it sometimes

First, there's a REASON we ask for your state. Without knowing your state, we have no idea if emancipation is even a legal possibility, much less any details.

Second, if you're being abused, call police, social services, or tell a counselor at school. They have duty to investigate and remove you from an abusive situation if necessary. Emancipation has nothing to do with being removed from abuse, it has to do with you being able to PROVE to a court that you have a track record of supporting yourself and making the court feel like you have the capability to continue to do so without becoming a burden on taxpayers. Having bipolar and getting a disability check tells the court that you are NOT fully self supporting, and thus are NOT a candidate for emancipation, regardless of the state OR other circumstances.

When you've obtained and held a job that would allow you to pay your local rate for rent, utilities, clothing, food, transportation, health insurance, and other necessities, AND you've become functional enough to not need a disability check, THEN come back, identify your state, and we'll re-evaluate to see if you might qualify for emancipation.
