I was towed from a private school parking lot in California.

It is a small special education school that I live across from. They have a about 10 spots labeled VAN and 2 spots at the end labeled VISITOR. I parked in the one labeled visitor over night and was towed away the next day at noon. There isn't a sign posted above either of the visitor spots but they did just recently (1-2 days) put a sign in their driveway to the school about 50 meters farther up the road from the visitor parking spot saying this is private property and that is a tow away zone.

I found that my car had been towed an hour earlier and had to pay the towing company $322 for them having my car for 3 hours.

I attached a google satellite photo to show where I parked and where the sign was posted.

I talked to a employee and she said they just put out an email about them starting to tow people from the visitor spots. Since a no tow sign was not posted anywhere close and I have parked here before with no notice or warning do I have any recourse for reimbursement of the towing fees?

Thank you for any insight,
