My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of:
I began living at this rental April of 2010 its 1400sf and only thing that runs on propane is the water heater, there are now 4 in my family. Myself,husband,2yr old and brand new baby born a couple months ago. My question is what do I do if my landlord is charging me for all the propane. On the property there is our rental, an apartment, and also the owners own home which is pretty big and is a two story. In the year in a half that we have lived here he has charged us over $1000 for propane and like I said all we have is the water heater. I never use the heater nor do I wash clothes with hot water. Only hot showers and I wash dishes with hot water. This month he gave us a bill of $75 just for last month. I know there is no way that we use $75 worth of propane in a month. What do I do from here? How do I bring it up to the landlord? We will be moving out soon can I ask for some money back and maybe ask for full deposit back because of this.
Thanks for any help
