My question involves juvenile law in the State of: North Carolina
Me and my friend are attending a concert in the next couple months. We both like to have the occasional cigar, but usually in the comfort of our homes. We were looking to smoke at a concert, but neither of us are the legal age to purchase tobacco (18), we're both 16. Should we expect any kind of trouble if we're smoking outside the venue in a smoking area? I don't want to show up, start smoking, and then a police officer card us, or start asking us questions. I know it's illegal for minors to purchase tobacco, but I couldn't find anything in the State Statutes about the possession of it. We both want to be sure we're safe before we go, or if we should just leave the cigars at home.
Thanks, your help is appreciated.
