Exclamation Attorney Gave My Entire Original File to a Stranger

My question involves malpractice by a lawyer in the state of: TEXAS
I just learned that my attorney's office gave my original file, containing original marriage certificate, birth certificates, etc. away to a complete and total stranger because they asked for it!!!
What in the world can I do? Isn't this against some type of law? Do I need to get ANOTHER lawyer to handle this lawyer now?
    Any help appreciated!

Why would a stranger request your file?

    What's the story here?

Currently working on getting papers done for family member. I went in today to get all of my originals and to see what all progress had been made so far because I'm ready to change lawyers, and the office told me that they gave it to a girl that came in and requested it! (I have a good idea of who it was, but no way to prove this)They don't have a name, she didn't have to sign anything for it. This is the second time the lawyer's office does something like this. Couple months ago I sent a friend to the office to drop a passport photo off for me, and the receptionist kept trying to talk to him about the case.
