AND, emancipation in Louisiana does NOT remove parental authority - it is a VERY limited form of emancipation that ONLY has the effect of conferring rights to own and manage assets. And that's ALL it does. (So yeah, I can see how that could only take a few minutes, because the parents REMAIN the parents, thus most of the "usual" aspects and requirements don't even come into question.)

Yall people think yall know too much when yall MOST likely do not live or isnt from Louisiana. If a child gets emancipated while 16 he/she could leave there parents house duh!!!! BUT if the child is 14/15 its not much they could do.!

Every state has its own set of laws.

The laws are NOT the same in each state.

Hence, what happens in Louisiana, Washington or New Hampshire is simply NOT relevant to the OP's actual question since the OP does not live in those states.

To answer the rude childs statement, LA allows a parent to go to the court and sign a paper saying they are choosing to emancipate their child or throw them out, which allows them to become emancipated. Based on this childs posts, I suspect mom will be offing her soon also.
