My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: Georgia

My husband filed for unemployment and after a few days we received the determination which showed the company he worked for, wages for the quarters, benefit amount, etc. The only employer listed on the determination was company "A". (we'll call them that to keep it simple) He was paid two weeks of unemployment and then we received notice that an appeal had been filed. Finally received the appeal paperwork in the mail and noticed that the appeal was not filed by company"A" who was on the determination but by a different company. (After being laid off from company "A", he had worked a short contract with this other company) Company "A" was considered his "most recent employer" (MRE) so that was who the determination was based on, not his actual last employer. It has unfortunately been a long line of errors with the appeals office putting it off on the local unemployment office and vice versa. I hope all this makes sense. I'm sorry for the confusion. Has anyone had this happen and can explain it to me or even if you just have any suggestions on what we can do to clear this up, I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much.
