    Default Trust Distribution in Connecticut

    My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: Connecticut my question involves my late fathers trust distribution Currently it is on 30 day wait to allow objections......Can the trust lawyer delay beyond 30 days if no objections come?

    Sorry for post snafu.......basic idea is that I want the payoff locked down and no chance of last minute snags if possible

    There's always a potential for "last minute snags".

    Given that we have no access to the trust instrument and know none of the relevant facts, we're not in a position to guess about either why you are concerned about delays or what might happen that could cause a delay. Is there anything that you would like to share?

    All I can share is this lawyer was not forthcoming in letting me know about 30 day wait....in fact he omitted mention of the wait when he told me he would be cutting me a check for the distribution once final accounting was agreed......after the ruling i phoned and then was informed on the wait...as i dont have a copy of the trust it leaves me wondering on the certainty of payout
