My girlfriend is 16 and 7 1/2 months pregnant, i live in Nebraska and know that in Nebraska when you give birth you are emancipated, is that the same for Washington?

That's not actually true for either state.
Pregnancy confers medical emancipation - this is NOT the same thing as legal emancipation.
Needless to say, pregnancy in WA does not confer legal emancipation.
In alll 50 states, when your girlfriend got pregnant, she kissed any possible chance of legal emancipation goodbye. Pregnancy does not confer legal emancipation in any state, and in fact makes it practically impossible for legal emancipation to take place for two reasons:
1.) She has proven that she need more supervision, not less
2.) It is practically impossible for a teen who does not have a baby to support, to qualify financially for emancipation. A teen who has to pay not only her own support but that of a baby doesn't have a prayer.
Medical emancipation yes. Many states confer medical emancipation upon pregnancy. Legal emancipation, nope.
Is this why all these teens are running around getting knocked up? Another failure of our educational system to convey clear, concise, information maybe.
