My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: Florida
Currently we have very long lines to get into work, around 30 minutes every day. The question has been raised, are we suppose to be compensated for this waiting time? Everyone is ready and on site to work, but we must wait patiently to get through the security lines. A lot of people want to know if we should be paid from the time we arrive on site or if it's considered free time to the company. The majority of us are contract employees, not company employees.
Thanks for your inputs.
