Do any of these attorneys that you have seen give you a free consultation? I'm sure there's a few in your area that will do this and at least help you in the right path.
A lawyer will not any substantial legal advice unless the person is their client. As to the form of a response the OP can go to the courthouse and read other answers to counter complaints.

But if this is a custody or other marital issue the OP needs a lawyer.

An answer to: does she deserve alimony? I would answer that the respondent has insufficient knowledge of the facts or of the facts plead to be able to answer.

9. Children are in the care of plaintiff and defendant. plaintiff seeks temp and perm sole legal custody and physical custody of the kids.

How can I Admit or Dent that? Yes its true we live together but I cannot admit to her demands?
For 9...here's an answer: defendant admits that the children are in care of the plaintiff and defendant. defendant has insufficient knowledge to the claim that the plaintiff seeks temp ...custody to answer this part of the inquiry.

Or, if you believe that the plaintiff is seeking custody then the answer to the entire thing is simple: admit.

I think the complaint probably discusses custody issues, yes?

You really need a lawyer if you cannot figure out how to answer this one. You going to screw yourself over.

So I am supposed to put my responses on the lines that I deny basically.

The form the county gov gives me doesn't have as much answer space as the doc I received has.

The retype on your own form..it doesn't matter
