Default After Modifying a Power of Attorney, What Notifications Are Needed

My question involves a power of attorney in the state of: Iowa

I am POA for my uncle. I created a durable POA on legalzoom site. It was filed at his county courthouse.

I have to modify the POA, to give me power to manage a life insurance policy, which he thought was voided. It is active, but the company won't tell me what amount it is worth, or allow me to transact with or modifiy his policy.

I will file new POA w/courthouse to be able to get a certified copy.

Do I need to send out a certified copy of the modified POA to ALL the parties/institutions to whom I've provided copies of the first POA? Specifically, if the change doesn't affect the party (e.g., I still have access to bank accounts, etc.), then do I need to bother sending out a certified copy of the amended POA?

    Thank you

You only have to show the power of attorney to those you want to allow you to act as the attorney in fact. Unless the principal revokes the earlier powers of attorney granted, they remain valid. Nothing compels a party to accept your POA, so sometimes a specific power of attorney is more likely to be accepted than a general one.
