I just recieved a letter in the mail today from the Michigan Unemployment Office. My previous employer was trying to fight my unemployment. At first they didn't fight it, and then I recieved two checks and then they fought it and disputed it saying that I signed a confession. My unemployment was cancelled and I was ordered to pay back my unemployment benefits. After sending in my letter of appeal, I recieved a letter back saying that the balance was paid and that my case was closed. I know I didn't pay back my benefits which means obviously my previous employer payed the state back my benefits that I was entitled to which leads me to believe that they have no case against me as I have been trying to say all along. If they have so much more proof against me besides a damn confession, why aren't they using it to fight my unemployment???? It makes no sense to me, only thing that makes sense is that they need to reconfigure they practices on handling things because I didn't do anything wrong and I'm being punished for it...
