iam employed in california however the company base is texas.
the topic today is how can a company decide what benefits you get depending on your age
example 1 is as follows
if you start working at age 18 and work for 30 years then quit at 48 you will get your pension benefits based on when you elect to recieve them however since you are not 50 years old when you leave you will never get your flight benefits ever
example 2 is as follows
if you start work at age 35 work for 15 years and leave after you are 50 you get your pension benefits when you elect however you will get flight benefits for life
any opinion on this? it appears to be age discrimination to me
