Lightbulb Marriage to a Citizen After a B1/B2 Visa Overstay

    Hello to everyone,

First i will like to thank to everyone ahead for any kind of help
Here is my story(a true story).

I first came to the United States for a family reunion with a b1/b2 visa
Then i met a girl(u.s citizen)and we spend time talking and sharing common thing that we have
But she had a boyfriend back then
Now after few months that we didn't saw each other or talked we got back in touch and after three months we know that we belong to each other
Bot in this period of time i overstayed and my b1/b2 visa expired
Now we want to get married.

    Here is my question:
Will i'll get a green card or a work permit after getting married ? ( since we want a kid and we both will need to work)
Does the govorment will make her some trouble with this subject ?

    Many thanks in advance

Once you and your fiancee file your I-130 and I-485, as described in more detail in hundreds of other threads, you can apply for EAD (Employment Authorization Document) using form I-765.

Given the recent start and short-term nature of your relationship, and the recency of your entry, I suggest consulting an immigration lawyer for an analysis of your situation and whether the USCIS is apt to regard your marriage as bona fide.
