My question involves a marriage in the state of: Minnesota
My divorce was complete March 2011 in the decree it states my x was awarded a piece of property that remained in my home. After several months of no attempt for him to remove this property I gave a letter to him stating that MN Statue 345.75 which once notified gives him 30 days to have the item removed. My divorce steams from a long history of domestic violence so in the letter l let him know he must arrange for someone who is licensed, bonded and insured move the item for the protection of myself and my property. I will add the item is a very large heavy item around 800 pounds. He never once attempted to have someone remove the item only attempts were to argue about how it was to be removed. I chose to only reiterate my original letter. After 60 days I choose to liquidate the asset as the statue clearly stated after 30 days he gave up possession. Was I wrong??
