Default Protecting Large Amounts of Money from Creditors

I live in Toronto Ontario Canada, The last payment I made was 2008. I did a bit of research to find out that the statue limitation to sue someone is 2 years in Ontario... If I were to put a large amount of money in my account. Can they found or anyone find out. The collections don't have my account number or anything. Should I feel safe with a large amount in my account???
