My question involves criminal law for the state of: Georgia
Ok, so I got into trouble misdemeanor then about a month later got in trouble again misdemeanor. So I was on 2 probations, was paying and doing what I was sopposed to do. One of them I had to go back to court for a violation, but showed my p.o. that everything was done except one thing, so I showed him I paid for it, and just had to do it. Well I did complete it, but did it online, and never reciever the certificate. And little by little I quit going due to money being scared etc. Before I knew it there was no turning back.
I know I have no warrants, because I have a d.l. and got a ticket. I was put on the 2 probations around 2005/2006. so its been a good 4 to 5 years since all this happened. My questions are is there a statute of limitations...where after a certain time it just disappears or I dont have to worry about coming back and biting me in the but? And does it show I have open probations when employers look into my social? Any info would be much appreciated. I need to know whats going on but I am scared to ask authority.
