    Default Felony Probation Violation

My question involves criminal law for the state of: GA
My husband was arrested while working out of town last Friday for lying about his name to an officer. Once there they found out who he is and we found out that he has holds on him for several counties. He went to court and sentenced on Wednesday for that offense and was transported to my local area. They now tell me the hold was for felony probation violation. The violation was him not paying and not seeing his probation officer and they put the warrant out for him. Since he has been in I have found out a lot about his (our) business and other things. They tell me he might be out Monday. I guess my first question is could it happen that quick? and should I try to contact his probation officer first thing Monday and tell him what I know?

Not sure what you know. I am also not sure what you think telling his PO will do for him. But, if you had nothing to do with the reason that he is in jail, unless you want to risk him staying in jail, you might want to stay out of it. He's going to have another violation hearing for the new arrest for lying to the police, so, do you think that what you'd tell the PO will help?

No, it probably will not help. See, the rest of it is he opened a business that I wanted nothing to with and I found out that I am a member on the LLC and that I am supposedly on the tax id number. He has been lying to clients and owes money to several different employees and business for work done. He has written bad checks and collection agencies sending mail to his po box. I've been trying to salvage the business the past week but he is having a girl friend I knew nothing about to help him shut things down. He had told me once that his original charge had something to do with checks. He is also trying to give his sister power of attorny and she thinks she can just come get everything to do with the business. What people tell me is I have the legal right to the stuff bought with company funds and some of the stuff is attached to the truck that is soley in my name. He has me in debt. My fault for trying to help him start a business by using my credit.
