My question involves a marriage in the state of:NJ
Just starting procedures for divorce, married 28 yrs. 2 kids. my wife wants to buy the house from me. We only have 100K in equity, owe 200K. She is getting loan for 200K she claims, but she doesn't have cash to pay me my 50K, she wants to give to me in 401k money. I need cash now so I can pay for child support. She said no way is she breaking up her 401k to give me my share of the house. Then she tells me yesterday that I have to sign a security deed of trust for her loan because we are still married.......WTH does that mean? Is she jumping the gun and we should wait until after the divorce to sell her this house? I'm confused - under no circumstance do I want to be on this new mortage or loan that she is taking out. Any help please? Thanks
