Default Live in Ohio but Occurred in Texas

My question involves criminal records for the state of: Texas. I have recently applied to a few jobs and my misd. class c theft has been appearing. I thought this was expundged because it never showed up on my record. I received deferred adj., community service and paid a fine. Is there a way for me to get this expundged if I live in Ohio? It has never prevented me from getting a job before. Has something changed in background checks that it now shows up? I can not even get a job at a temp service.

    Please help!

If you successfully completed a deferred sentence for a Class C misdemeanor in Texas, you should qualify for expungement - but you need to file your petition with the sentencing court in Texas. You should normally anticipate appearing in court at least one time.
