My question involves an eviction in the state of: California
I have been renting a room under contract for the last 3 months and today my landlord gave me a 30 day notice. On the contract it stated that I had to give him a 2 month notice before moving out and I wanted to know if he was obligated to the same? Also, where could I go to read up on my rights?
Next, in the contract I signed the landlord agreed to do certain things which he did not make good on. For instance, the contract said that I had refrigerator rights but was given none and had to buy a small refrigerator. Also, I've been paying $25 for a cleaning service of the bathroom once a month but have already had to confront the landlord about not cleaning the bathroom. This being the case, can I sue him for the cost of the refrigerator and a refund of the cleaning services?
