Theft and Resisting Arrest Charges

1. What kind of consequences should i expect.
2. Im 17, will this stay on my record after i turn 18?

i stole $5 worth, and ran. i didnt know the police was chasing me because they had on regular clothes (i thought it was the secret walmart shoppers). When they said "police!" i stopped and the arrested. why am i being charged with resisting and what do you honestly think they will do i have court next month (nov).

It all depends on how the police articulated your resisting. The courts have shown that merely running from the police is not really considered resisting. You may get an amended charge of fleeing or attempting to elude.
