Default How Can a Minor Legally Move Out

My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: Iowa

I'm 16 years old and am having many problems with my family. It's not typical teenage disagreements with family, its full out yelling, screaming, criticizing, and be-little-ling all directed at me. It has gotten to the point where I hate life and everything in it. I have started cutting myself again, my grades in school have dropped drastically, and sometimes I feel like I should just end it while I can. When I was 7 years old i was sexually abused by one of my mom's boyfriends and i still havent recovered from that and i hold my mom responsible. My question is what rights, as a minor, do i have to leave my home permanently without legal action being taken upon me? At this point I need all the help i can get because i need out of this house before something worse happens...

If you're being abused, you need to contact child services and/or talk to your guidance counselor. I'm sorry, but you cannot leave without your parents' permission.

You indicate that your father is not living with your mother - where is he?

    None whatsoever.

No judge in any jurisdiction will emancipate a child in your situation. Furthermore, your cutting and threats of suicide will tell the court you need MORE supervision, not less.

    Seek help, not freedom.

    Very simple answer. None.

Untill you are 18, and not one minute before, you live where your parents say you live.
