Post First Offence Shoplifting Charges in Pennsylvania

My question involves criminal law for the state of: PA

Hi, I have been charged with shoplifting of $230 in the state of PA. This is my first offense and i am not proud of it. I know there have been many threads on this topic. I have paid civil demand and now my court date is in November. I was wondering what the maximum financial penalty would be so that I can start saving up the money for the same. Also, will I be eligible for diversion? What will happen to my immigration status? I am an international student no job and I have not really told my family and friends, so I have to do odd jobs and save up this money. Knowing my maximum would be helpful indeed.

    Thanx,

    K

Default Re: First Offence Shoplifting in Pa - Charges and Cost

Expect to save up atleast $2000.00

Your immigration status...that is best discussed with an attorney. You may find the US doesn't want thieves attending their schools.
