My question involves criminal law for the state of: washington

I am friends with an 18 yr old and im only 13. We have never done anything but hugging. But, I'm still worried about what could happen to him. Yesterday, we were speaking over the phone and he asked me out on a date as friends. My friends say im going to get him in trouble. one of my teachers has said that it is not the best idea for me to be friends with him, and another teacher said that as long as it doesn't go past hugging then i should be fine.

Will he get in trouble for anything listed above?
