My question involves guardianship in the State of: New Jersey
Hello all,
I am 23 years old, and live in southern New Jersey. Back in July, my mom threw me out of the house, and still refuses to speak to me. I was made aware by another thread on this same site, that the laws involving emancipation are complicated (if not nonexistant) in the state of New Jersey. I am currently having trouble, because she is still considdered my castodial parent as far as the fedral aid process is concerned. And because of this, I am unable to get back into school, without some sort of proof, that she wants nothing to do with me.
I am aware, that because I am still considered a dependent, that my castodial parent would be responsable to fill half of this out, unless I have a child, get married, or obtain some sort of proof that my mother wants nothing to do with me. How exactly would I go about getting said proof, and does anyone have any suggestions, as to what I can do to get back into school? I am on SSI, and cannot afford to pay back any student loans, until after I can work.
Thanks
