My question involves medical malpractice in the state of: Texas.

I didn't receive the full physical examination, but my insurance was billed for it. When I talked to her she said urinalysis was NOT part of the physical exam and that it's separate. I'm skeptical about this. How should I negotiate this down? I'm still deliquent on about $200, and want to negotiate with the woman who does billing at the clinic. I had to go to amazon.com and purchase urinalysis strips myself since I started having pain in my kidney area (ended up being back pain it turns out) but they went ahead and charged for it anyways.

Is there any leverage I have to negotiate the charge down? The lady got extremely defensive when I said they forgot to do the urinalysis and cut me off before/when I tried to explain I was trying to be considerate to the nurse who made an honest mistake forgetting to the urinalysis- she looked stressed and I didn't want to add to it by coming in and explaining everything to get the urinalysis.

What would you do in this situation?
