My question involves child support in the State of: Washington
Filed my petition for a trial today. The mother and I have agreed on an amount that was calculated by the Washington State Calculator. My son is receiving Medical and Day Care support. The mother of my child was told by DSHS that she had to show proof that I'm paying child support, so this is what started the Child Support Order and Parenting Plan.
Upon completing the Child Support order towards the end of the order the facilitator said it would be required to obtain the prosecuting attorney's signature, which then the order was brought to the prosecutors office and signed, but she checked "Medical," but DSHS did not mention anything about medical, but daycare expenses. The prosecutor also said payments must be made to the division of child support, which wasn't in the original order, we originally agreed to direct payment with a cashiers check.
Will it matter if the prosecutor checked "Medical," although this was brought about my DSHS for daycare expenses?
If We've agreed on an amount, will DSHS try to collect more?
Apparently, DSHS needs this completed by the 29th of September, but the final order will not be completed till October 5th, 2011.
She has insurance through her work, but has also received medical assistance through the state for the last 2-years, but the state has not collected anything from me for the last 2-years.
We were never married.
A paternity affidavit has me as his father.
