My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: colorado

I attended a Colorado university physical therapy program with a fair GPA for 4 quarters, at which point my stepfather died in California, and I had to return to CA to tend to my mom. I also was diagnosed with major depression at that time. I took incompletes for the classes that quarter. My internship that summer did not go well and the school became extremely critical of my performance in school. My grades were As and Bs. I withdrew myself from my next clinical internship, as I was having debilitating anxiety attacks. Due to a clerical error with an online course, I missed one weekly exam in a course which I had been maintaining at an "A" grade, and ultimately the school dismissed me for academic performance, because of that one course receiving a "C" final grade. Other coursework were As and Bs.

I am left with about $70,000. in student loans from that experience. The coursework did not transfer to other PT programs. My question is if there is a possibility of that student loan debt being cancelled or forgiven. Is there any legal basis for that?

At this point I have successfully completed (graduated from) a different PT program, but I was unable to transfer any of the coursework from the school in Colorado, and had to start again by taking prerequisites at the new program. I feel that the Coloardo school took so much money from me for coursework that they then caused to be effectively obsolete, or inapplicable. Thank you for considering this issue.
