    Default Cypress Shortage

I live in Michigan. I purchased about 20k worth of cypress from a company in Kansas. About 5k worth of the lumber was not shipped. I was told on the phone and via e-mail that the company would send me a check for the 5k. Now, they don't answer the phone nor do they reply to my e-mails. It is as if they've fallen from the planet. What can I do?

    Many Thanks

Maybe they have fallen from the earth, so to speak - have you checked to see if they are still in business?

If they have any money, then sue them in Kansas for the 5K. Likely as not (as MKIA said) they are gone with the wind.

Toto, they're not in Kansas anymore.
