My question involves a traffic accident in the State of: NY
HI all,
Not sure if this is the right place for this so I apologize if not.
I went to NYC last night and parked in a parking garage. The Valet took my car and parked it. I came back several hours later and as the Valet is pulling the car out I and my friend immediately noticed damage to the front left bumper. It appears that it rubbed hard onto something and took some nice big chips out of the paint on the bumper (2000 Acura 100k miles) Of course the attendant first says we didn't do it and I inspected your car when you came in and it was like that. I told him right away that it was not like that when I left my house and I made no stops on the way to you. He quickly says we are not responsible for it and we have a sign up. Never noticed a sign. I filled out an incident report and was told to call back during the day when the manager is on duty.
When I came home I went straight to my security camera system and looked at the car from the moment I left the house and there is NO damage to the car's bumper. The camera shows the time and date that I left the house.
I didn't call yet as I am trying to figure out my rights.
Yes the car is 11 years old but I have no damage to the car at all.
So confused as what to do next. I will call the manager but he will just keep saying we have a sign up.
Thank you
