So unbelievably, he got the case dismissed against him (the one regarding the fraudulent ID) so now does that mean his chances of beating this immigration thing are better? He no longer has the charge of Identity fraud.

Also, the lawyer keeps asking me to supply his prior criminal record. why can't his lawyer obtain this information? He is basically telling me that without his prior records he can't help him but yet as his lawyer he cannot obtain these records? Does this seem fishy to anyone other than me?

It seems like his chances of fighting deportation are getting better doesn't it?
