My question involves a marriage in the state of: New York

My wife's attorny contacted me that my wife requested they begin an uncontested divorce. She no longer lives in the state of New york but I do. we have lived together in New York for 5 years but she moved out of New York 2 months ago. I am planning on moving out of New York as well. Her attorny is in New York even though she now lives in Virginia.

My quesiton is, since I am planning on moving out of New York, is it better for me to wait and complete this uncontested divorce in the state that I am moving to? Are there any advantages or disadvantages to going ahead and finishing things up in New York.

We have already dealt with property division and child custody...all that is left is to make the divorce legal.

Can she come back and try to get me to pay any court fees or lawyer fees? I do want this thing done so that we can move on but I am leary of any game she might be playing.

Her attorney is doing all the paper work, do I need to get my own lawyer? Since it is uncontested, I am thinking I might not need get my own lawyer.

Thank
