    Default Payment Was Hours Late - Can the Lender Still Repossess

    My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Illinois I bought a car and have made my payments as agreed ecpet half of one payment was maybe 10 hours late now i have people following me and showing up at my house late at night banging on my door which i refuse to answer have not even recieved one phone call that they even were gonna repo my car please help at a lost do they have a right to take my car????

    I can't read your loan contract from here, nor can I ask your lender if these people have anything to do with your car loan. Call your lender and confirm that they received your late payment, and that your loan is in good standing.
