My question involves criminal law for the state of: IL.
My brother was prosecuted and served in IL. He paroled to MI. He violated his parole and was taken to a county jail, where he sat for 50
days waiting for Il to pick him up. His PO in Mi dropped the ball and did not let IL know of this violation. Finally, IL was contacted and they came to MI and took him back to IL.
My question is: what is procedure? Does he go back to prison for the term of his sentence? Does he go before a judge and if so does he
need an attorney? Will he be able to go back to MI for the rest of his parole time?
I am very frustrated with all of this and would appreciate any and all input. Thank you so much for reading and responding.
