    Question Unpaid Credit Card Bill

    Hi,

    This is my scenario:

Currently I am risiding outside of US. I lived in US for 4 years and moved to another country in begining of 2004. Recently I was goins through my old papers and came across a credit card bill which I might have forgot to pay before leaving US in 2004. I also did not change my new foriegn address with the credit card company. I have been planning a business trip to USA and for which I need Business VISA. Will there be any problem if I go now to get VISA to go back to USA?

    Looking forward for some response.

    Thanks,
    Chin.

You mean a Visa credit card, or a visa to enter the U.S.? The USCIS won't run a credit check on you, but Visa the credit card company will.

not a criminal thing....however if you can I'd get a copy of your credit report (not sure how that works seeing you are not in the us) and see if there is anything on it, if it's been a long time and the company tried and ended up suing you may have a judgement that would show on the report....other then that it may have been charged off or sent to a collections agency.
