My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Arkansas
Hi. In my case, I got the ticket two weeks ago. I was pulled over by the police officer.
He was saying that I was driving too fast. In my case I did not know that there was a zone where speed limit of 55 was changed to 45.
So he caught me for driving 58 over 45. But then, he did not give the speeding ticket.
He charged me for being 'inattentive driving.' And then, he added that for this charge, the fine is same as the speeding ticket, but there is no fine.
But when I read some threads, it seemed like the 'inattentive driving' was having point and considered as a moving violation.
So I would like to know if there is point(and how much) for this citation. Also, I would like to know if there is anyway to fight this ticket.
(In my case, I had diarrhea problem. So I was in a hurry to find the restroom. But even in that case, I thought the speed limit was 55 and trying to drive within the speed limit)
Thank you for answering my inquiry.
