Default Felony Charge Almost 15 Years Ago

My question involves criminal records for the state of: Tennessee

I am 36 and almost 15 years ago I pleaded no contest to burgulary. I was put on probation. If I paid my fines, went to probation my record would be cleared. I didn't do that. A warrant was put out on me, I was arrested. I paid all the fines and now have a felony on my record. Since that time I have been in no trouble. I have a good job, stable life, good credit, etc. Basically, I have grown up and realized that I want my life back. I want to be able to vote, feel free of applying for a job and not worry about my criminal record, own a gun, etc.

Can I get my record expunged? Or pardoned?

No expunction of convictions. You screwed yourself on that one BIG TIME.
You can apply for a pardon, but that will NOT remove the charge from your record.
You can try to be exonerated by the governor, but that's going to be extremely unlikely as your guilt doesn't seem to be in question.

I would do an FBI background on myself. Why? Because there may be something on your record that you thought wouldn't be. You can at least clear up anything that didn't result in a conviction. We are both 2nd class citizens for life at the expense of the communities we live in. I was convicted of a drug felony in the 80s. In the 90s I graduated college but found it hard to get the job I wanted. Like a fool I gave up hope and went back to my old business. Eventually I got busted again but luckily the case against me was weak. Recently, I graduated with an advanced degree and I am trying to expunge the last arrest record.
The moral of the story is to not give up hope and make the best of what you have.

For what it's worth, check on the whole voting thing. I know plenty of felons that are eligble to vote.
