My question involves a child custody case from the State of: PA
My ex and I have 2 children together, 1 that was born prior to our relationship the other together. I have raised my non-biological daughter since she was 4 months with limited contact from the biological father. While I am seperated from her mother now, her mother is consenting and acknowledges that I am the only father she knows and should always be part of her life.
How do we go about making this legal? The mother is pushing for forced paternity from the biological father listed on the birth certificate, but how do I become the "legal" father without adopting our daughter from her mom? We want to continue to share custody with both of us having legal rights to her.
