Default Can My Ex-To-Be Wife Change the Child's Name After Divorce

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: CT

I am thinking of a divorce with a 2 month old baby. We fight for the child's name from day 1. Now, after divorce, considering I am paying the child support, can my ex change the child's family name without my permission?

No, she cannot change it without your permission or a court order, however a judge is not likely to grant such a request as you two are currently married. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, but if she files to change the name, make sure that you file as well stating that you oppose the change.

Your paying child support, however has nothing to do with her ability to change the child's name.
