My question involves a background check in the State of: internet law/personal information
Is it legal for a job search agency or employer to post personal information (including employee background/criminal checks) online if the employee has given them permission to do so? This is in the context of the employee/contractor being hired out by other companies for work. The job search agency has a list of available staff online and wondering if they can publicly post personal info for employers to search and select staff.
US and Canadian perspective would be useful.
