Well it appears as if I will only be arraigned this week, perhaps tomorrow or Friday, and then it will be assigned to a prosecutor, my attorney told me today. I guess that is when he will go to him with my letter and asking for the diversion program. I am still nervous; I am a 38 yr. old married mother of 1 small child, and my husband travels quite frequently for work. He is in the process of getting a government job and moving us out of state, but that probably wont' happen for several months yet. I wanted to go back to work next year, either as a substitute teacher or work for the government myself if he gets the job he is interviewing for. Will this expungement program allow me to say that I've not plead guilty or no contest to a crime? Will my fingerprints show up if they do a background check? Does the expungement program, if I complete it successfully remove all of those records so I would be allowed to do this?
