My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: Arkansas
I live in Arkansas the company is based in Kansas.
I collected money on a sale a couple of months ago. I resigned last week. Last month the company paid 50% of the commission, this is normal. I was told today that since I resigned they will not be paying me the remaining commission. I have looked through the employee handbook and it does not discuss this at all. The company has 100% of the money in hand for the job. Sales people usually get 50% up front and 50% after the job is complete. I believe morally I am entitled to the money I collected and earned but did not know legally.
