My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California.. again (scumbag California...)
I reside in Clackamas, OR, and was cited in Redding, CA. I got a photo enforced ticket whilst making a right turn during a red light at 6 a.m.
(Irrelevant, I know: this happened the morning after I got my first ever ticket for speeding, in Redding. I, nor my passengers, had any recollection of me breaking the law, because I was VERY careful the rest of my trip.) None of that is relevant, just me venting
Anyhow, I want to hear your guys' opinion on whether or not this is a "snitch ticket" and what I should do about it.
It states: "DO NOT CALL THE COURT REGARDING THIS NOTICE."
It does NOT state: "NOTICE TO APPEAR"; the due date for anything; the court or its address and phone number.
It actually came to my mom, since she's one of the registered owners (along with my dad), but I am clearly pictured in it. It says that I can view the video of the violation online, but I have not been able to access it at all despite numerous attempts.
I have checked my case information online at ShastaCourt since it would be listed there, but have not found anything other than the speeding violation. (I searched with my last name so that my mom's cases would show up as well, if it were indexed at all.)
It looks exactly like a snitch ticket.
I have yet to hear the story of someone who completely ignored it, I've only seen people suggest to ignore it. If I ignore a real ticket, the fine would go through the roof, and I could have my license suspended for 2 years. Scaryyyy.
Opinions?
