    Default Post Judgement Activity

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Michigan

After a judgement has been finalized and the 21 days has past, am I required to submit to a creditors exam ? What is the penalty for failure ?

I am trying to have the judgement vacated because they sent info to a previous address which is not where I was served, won't they just say they made a mistake and the court will forgive them ?

    Thanks in advance

If you are subpoenaed to appear at a creditor's exam and fail to appear, the moving party can ask the court to impose sanctions ($$$), and could potentially request a bench warrant. There's a potential to be held in contempt of court.

What do you mean by "they sent info to a previous address which is not where I was served"? Were the documents sent to your address of record - the one that was printed right on the summons and complaint?
