Default How to Get a Visa for My Parents if My Dad Has a Cancer

    Hi,

My parents are planning to come to the US on tourist visa to visit me. My Dad was diagnosed with cancer amd he is plannig to say at the embassy that he will stay in the US for only 4 weeks because he will need to go back home to get his next round of treatment. Could it be a problem for the embassy to issue a visa if my Dad has a cancer?

Thank you very much for your help.

As long as the illness is not disqualifying, and cancer is not, there are no special requirements for applying for a visa when ill. It would be sensible for your father to have health insurance valid in the U.S., as health care here is among the most expensive in the world.
