    Default Violation of Probation

My question involves criminal law for the state of: New York. I know someone who is on probation and they were arrested recently. They got a charge of felony possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana. Because they were previously convicted for reckless endangerment and placed on probation what do you think the outcome will be of the recent charges?

Can't speak on the new charges, but your friend can expect a revocation of probation and possible jail time while the new case plays out. A permanent non-expungeable conviction. The fact that your friend violated probation with a violent offense can be used to seek prison time as well.
